Alfred Keller Restaurant at Alhambra Boutique Hotel invites you to experience a unique stellar night “Mid Summer Epicurean Extravaganza”, on August 7th. An event like this one never happened before in Croatia. Not one, but three exceptional chefs - each of them awarded with 2 stars by Michelin and 4 toques by Gault&Millau - will join forces to prepare an incredible lineup of dishes, all paired with a vertical of Croatian and Italian Wines. The Swiss-based chefs Stefan Heilemann from The Widder Restaurant, Zurich, Sebastian Zier from Einstein Gourmet, St Gallen and Christian Kuchler from Taverne zum Schafli, Wigoltingen, together with their host, chef Michael Gollenz from Alfred Keller, Lošinj, are ready to create an unforgettable gourmet and lifestyle experience.

This exclusive event, limited to 70 guests only, will begin at the Beach Club with Chefs “Meet and Greet”. Caviar and oysters will be served at separate stations, accompanied by a Champagne Billecart Rosé en Magnum. For the dinner, each of the guest chefs will prepare his selection of six bites, while using an incredible range of fish, meat, vegetables, fruits, herbs, and other mostly locally grown products. As announced, the multi-course dinner will be paired with wines from two family-owned wineries: the Italian Frescobaldi, and Croatian Benvenuti.

For more than 700 years of wine-growing history, Frescobaldi’s family estates are positioned in prime areas of Tuscany, began to CastelGiocondo on the Montalcino Hills, to Castello di Nipozzano. Each estate tells its own story, made up of nature, terroir and people, but cultivation and culture have always been inseparable in the Frescobaldi family and their dedication to express diversity and authenticity. Diversity is also cultivated in the renaissance of art and man, through the patronage of the project “Artisti per Frescobaldi”, an annual creative challenge for three contemporary artists. Inspired by the beauty of CastelGiocondo estate, the artist’s works are translated into three artistic expressions, for a special and exclusive collection of Brunello di Montalcino. The guests at the event will have the opportunity to taste Frescobaldi’s CastelGiocondo Estate 2008, 2011 and 2013, and Castello di Nipozzano Montesodi 2011.

The Benvenuti family has been making wine for generations but the modern era of their wine growing and winemaking business started in 1945 with planting the new vineyards in the surroundings of Kaldir in Istria. At the event the Benvenuti winery will offer Teran Anno Domini 2008, 2011 and 2013.
