Gault & Millau Croatia congratulates the restaurants that have been awarded by Michelin stars in the new edition for Croatia. Besides all the restaurants that have kept their star, in the selection for 2021 three new restaurants have scored a triumph: restaurant "Nebo" in Rijeka's Hilton Costabella Hotel, restaurant "Alfred Keller" in Lošinj's boutique hotel Alhambra and restaurant "Agli Amici" in the Grand Park Hotel in Rovinj.
Chef Deni Srdoč, who was awarded as a Young Talent of the Year 2018 by Gault&Millau Croatia became the first Croatian chef who win a Michelin star for two different restaurants: the firts one for restaurant "Draga di Lovrana" and now for restaurant Nebo which opened two months ago. The same as the restaurant "Agli Amici" that opened this summer in Rovinj and that is a branch of the famous restaurant in Udine of the Italian chef Emanuele Scarello, which has two Michelin stars.
In previous years the Michelin stars were mostly given to private fine dining restaurants, but this year the gastronomic guide awarded three recently opened restaurants of large hotel chains.
Now In Croatia nine restaurants have one Michelin star, while restaurant Zinfandel’s in the Zagreb hotel Esplanade received a green star- for its commitment to sustainability.
