Fine dining Restaurant Club Waldinger, a combination of the elegant and the traditional, is located near the main square of Osijek. The Waldinger Café, a popular meeting place for Osijek citizens, is also part of the recently renovated hotel. In addition to the usual offer, you can also order food from the restaurant menu in the hotel, but the old restaurant nevertheless guarantees a more intimate atmosphere. The menu changes periodically, but they persist with the original concept: traditional foods prepared in a modern and creative way. The dishes are delicious and very elegantly presented, and the friendly staff unobtrusively, professionally and expertly present the menu and wine list. For the cold appetiser, we tasted beef tartare served with homemade toasted bread and butter. It was followed by a delicious pea and mint refreshing soup with chilli flakes and crispy crouton. We tasted two main courses, both of them very delicious and composed of interesting texture. Glazed duck breast in honey and orange was served with celery puree and spring vegetables, and rolled veal breast in roast sauce was tasty with vegetables on the butter. Equally delicious was a simple dessert, chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. The wine list is dominated by carefully selected regional wines, complemented by those from other parts of Croatia, as well as sparkling wine and champagnes. There is also a Gold patisserie within the hotel, where you can enjoy a large selection of excellent desserts and fine drinks, and the price / quality ratio is more than favourable.
