L'avis de Gault&Millau
An elegantly decorated covered terrace is one of the trump cards of the Dubrovnik restaurant in the historic centre, which can be reached by twenty steps from the Marojice Kaboge Street. It provides guests with privacy while enjoying not only delicious dishes with a very modern Dalmatian flair but also refined decoration and comfortable furniture. The dishes and menu were designed by the Dubrovnik artist Romana Milutin Fabris. Thanks to the creative chef in a relatively small offer a variety of attractive ingredients have been presented to the guests, and everything is very tasteful. For starter we chose ceviche Dubrovnik style: thinly sliced white fish fillet and scampi tails marinated in citrus juice, topped with orange rings, served with crispy flavoured croutons. Cream celery soup with truffles and prawn followed, perfectly balancing strong flavours. For the main course we tasted two interesting combination - duck breast in rosemary and prune sauce, and lobster with parsnip cream, asparagus, marinated garlic and raspberry powder. For dessert, we chose very tasteful puff pastry stuffed with figs cooked in “prošek” (domestic dessert wine), alongside vanilla ice cream decorated with cinnamon and hazelnuts. The wine list reflects the sommelier connoisseur who chose the best from Croatia, the region and the world, and the waiters endeavoured to present all the advantages of this top restaurant.
