L'avis de Gault&Millau
There is not much new to say about this restaurant: decent quality as always, with the same menu, professional staff and acceptable prices. It is situated in the immediate vicinity of Samobor’s walking trail, and if you want your table at the weekends you need to think in advance. Homemade types of cheese, sausages and charcuterie, porcini and portobello mushrooms, various soups, roasted meat and other specialties of Samobor and its surroundings have been a pillar of their menu for years. We started off with mushrooms: aromatic grilled porcini and forest mushroom soup. We then continued with wild boar with homemade gnocchis and cranberries, which gave this dish a slightly acidic touch. As always, the portions were quite large. Other than various desserts you can also choose around fifty different fillings for crêpes. Gabrek 1929 is perfect for Sunday lunch or business dinners and whatever you order it just cannot go wrong. The private parking area is across from the restaurant.
