Japanski restoran Tekka

As this year, due to the lockdown, we couldn’t unfortunately visit the Japanese restaurant Tekka, we publish the review and the score by Gault&Millau Croatia 2020.
The restaurant located in the city’s business area is easy to find and parking is accessible in the nearby public garage. Tekka is primarily a place for business lunches, and accordingly, the waiter asks you what kind of serving speed you want. However, it is also good for non-hurrying guests, so they come to eat something nice and relax in this Japanese restaurant. The space is well decorated, it is carefully considered that the tables − as close as they are − are somewhat separated and provide the opportunity for private conversation. The cooking at this restaurant is very good. All meals are made on previous orders only with the exception of sushi / sashimi, which must be pre-pared in advance due to the need for quick serving. For the appetiser, we tried crispy spring rolls with cream and avocado sauce, a very tasty, light and airy dish. Gyoza stuffed with veal and young onions, excellent textures, with a very decent addition of chilli oil, were evenly baked and nicely served. The excellent and accurately baked duck breasts were excellent in combination with celery and ginger, and the jus of wine blended well into the perfect flavour combination. The wine list was obviously compiled by a professional sommelier, because it is appropriate for the dishes served, and the friendly waiter knows very well the rules of pairing dishes with wines.
