Stancija Meneghetti, its restaurant and the Meneghetti Wine Hotel & Winery, will always delight you with the beauty of the surrounding nature, the elegant ambience and the high quality of food and wine. It is especially nice to sit on the spacious restaurant’s terrace, in the evening, because each table has its own intimacy, and the professional staff will introduce the dishes and the wines and will serve you discreetly throughout the meal. The menu is seasonal, and most of the ingredients are from the Istrian terroir. Top quality olive oil and wines are from their production, but you can order as well the most famous Croatian and international wines, sparkling wine and champagne. They welcomed us with a glass of Meneghetti sparkling wine, and then we switched to fresh Meneghetti Malvazija and Meneghetti Red from 2015. In addition to the homemade bread , we tasted their renowned olive oils from different olive varieties: belica, leccino and the extraordinary oil Izbor by Meneghetti. The duck breast in the Merlot sauce was soft and juicy, dark outside and pink inside, and the mild caramelized cauliflower cream blended nicely with the well-seasoned merlot sauce. Lamb chops in a crispy pistachio crust were also good. A tasty and nicely presented course. Don’t miss the dessert named the Ultimate chocolate cake: a true rhapsody of various chocolates in all shapes, from mousse to soufflé, from cream to powder. Restaurant Meneghetti is still one of the most prestigious addresses of the Croatian fine dining scene.
