L'avis de Gault&Millau
Located in an attractive location on Pile, at the entrance of the old town, the restaurant Posat is located in one of the oldest palaces in Dubrovnik, the former residence of the wealthy Amerling family who donated two fountains to the city. The indoor (air-conditioned) and outdoor part of the terrace offers a stunning view of the Bokar Fortress, and the staff of the elegantly decorated restaurant is very friendly and unobtrusive. It offers fresh fish, lobsters and scampi, chicken breast, pork and beef fillets, lamb chops, a variety of fresh vegetables and vegetarian delicacies based on local ingredients. We started the dinner with swordfish in wild orange marinade, and aromatic crab soup. Everything was fresh, tasty and moderately flavoured. We continued with homemade “pljukanci” pasta in truffles sauce with prawn and scallop meat, also with grilled squid served with warm - cold vegetable salad. For the end of the dinner, we tasted two delicious desserts: pears poached in Dingač with vanilla ice cream and caramelised figs with cream cheese. The wine list includes a rich selection of domestic and foreign white, red and dessert wines and fine sparkling wines. We recommend this restaurant for a romantic outing for two or for dinner in a larger group.
