As part of the Valamar Riviera Hotel, on the Poreč waterfront, you will find the Spinnaker restaurant with its beautiful and spacious terrace and a large hall with elegantly set tables. The refined menu is adapted to the ambience: the dishes are delicious and perfectly presented on a plate. Guests will not be disappointed by the wine list with top Istrian wines at reasonable prices. We started with tuna tartare, the green apples and fennel gave a special freshness to the dish, and the wasabi a dose of spiciness. The cuttlefish ragout with broad beans served with curd gnocchi was excellent. Cuttlefish black sauce with tomato confit spiced with chilli oil was perfectly softened by delicate curd gnocchi. We continued with the slow-roasted boškarin, the Istrian autochthonous white-grey long horn cattle. The meat, served with parmesan foam, was so tender that it melted in the mouth. The sea bass fillet with vegetable cassoulet was also delicious. The cassoulet is a French recipe with different types of meat and vegetables cooked together, and in this case it was only seasonal vegetables. The dishes we ordered, like all the others on the menu, have very special names: Tuna, Seppia, Vitulinum and Lupus. And our dessert was called Solo sole (only sun), quite suitable for sun fruits such as figs and carob in a curd and Teran red wine sauce. Spinnaker Restaurant deserves all the praise. With an affordable price, you will enjoy a unique gastronomic experience, in an elegant and pleasant ambience where you will be served by a professional and caring staff.
