Gault & Millau UAE Gala: First print edition release

Who are the best chefs and restaurants in the United Arab Emirates will be revealed during an exclusive ceremony at the gala dinner on June 14, 2022 at the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai. The most prominent protagonists of the regional gastronomic scene will gather on this occasion, and several top chefs will participate in creating a five-course menu, which will present the best dishes in culinary offer of Dubai.

Gault & Millau officially announced its arrival in the UAE in January 2022, in partnership with the ITP media group and Jumeirah Group, a luxury hotel chain in the personal portfolio of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktum.

“The launch of Gault & Millau is an important moment for the region and a great recognition of the culinary scene, which has become a major force,” said Ali Akawi, CEO of ITP. The importance of the arrival of a distinguished gastronomic guide in the UAE was also commented on by Marc Veyrat, the first and so far only chef awarded with the highest possible rating: Gault&Millau 20 points.

“Gault & Millau loves youth and creativity, loves young and exceptional chefs. And because of that, it has become a kind of phenomenon, more important than other culinary guides ", said Veyrat on that occasion.

In the meantime, anonymous G&M inspectors discovered the UAE gastronomic scene and evaluated their offer and service - and these reviews will be published in the first print edition for the UAE. Awards will be presented to both individuals and restaurants from across the UAE, and toque ratings will be officially revealed.
