First special edition of the Gault&Millau guide to Zagreb and its surroundings
Gault&Millau, one of the world's most relevant gastronomic guides, has published its first specialised edition for Zagreb and its surroundings, 5 years after its launch in Croatia, and this is also the announcement for Gault&Millau Croatia 2022, which will be released on the first of the year!
On the initiative of the Tourist Board of Zagreb (TZGZ), and in cooperation with the Tourist Board of Zagreb County (TZZŽ), Zagreb and its ring have been awarded the very first edition of the prestigious Gault&Millau (GM) gastronomic guide. Thus, for the first time, a bilingual (Croatian/English) edition of the guide has been published, containing reviews and photographs of 100 restaurants, taverns, restaurants, restaurants, restaurants and restaurants in Zagreb and its surroundings. This wide range of hospitality facilities is based on GM's motto "luksuz je u kvaliteti, a ne u cijeni".
At the promotion of the special edition on Monday, 7th of July, held in Zagreb's Bistro Apetit by chef Marin Rendić, plaques were awarded to the best Zagreb chefs whose restaurants scored 15 points or more on the Gault&Millau scale of up to 20.
The awarded chefs are Chef Tvrtko Šakota (NAV), Chef Ana Grgić (Zinfandel's and Le Bistro), Chef Matija Bogdan (ManO), Chef Hrvoje Kroflin (ManO2), Chef Bruno Vokal (Noel), Chef Marin Rendić (Bistro Apetit by Marin Rendić), Chef Ivo Sučević (Dubravkin put), Chef Vesna Miletić (Tač), Chef Stipan Iličić (Balon), Chef Matija Breges (Baltazar), Chef Filip Horvat (TheAtrium by Filho).
"The gastronomic scene of Zagreb and its surroundings has developed especially in recent years and the city has gained many new restaurants with a rich and varied offer. The festive promotion of the guide and the announcement of the best chefs were attended by Luka Korlaet, Deputy Head of the Zagreb Castle, and Monika Udovičić, Director of the Administration for the establishment of tourist units, categorisation and legal affairs at the Ministry of Tourism and Sport of the Republic of Croatia, and Martina Bienenfeld, Director of the Tourist Board, who initiated and sponsored the special edition, which was realised by in cooperation with Ivan Alilović, Director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board.
