Magnificent culinary duo: Chef Coline Faulquier and chef Ana Grgić cooking for 130 chefs
Renowned chefs Ana Grgić and Coline Faulquier will be preparing gala dinner in the Esplanade Zagreb Hotel to celebrate launch of Gault&Millau Croatia 2020 restaurant guide. Ana Grgić is The Great Chef of Tomorrow 2018 and head chef of Zinfandel’ restaurant of Esplanade Hotel, and Coline Faulquier is the owner and the chef of Signature restaurant in Marseille and elected the Gault&Millau Young Talent of the year 2017.
Coline has got her passion for cooking from her mother and grandmother, so the future career choice was obvious. After graduating École Hôtelière in Avignon, she was an intern at various famous restaurants, like Christian Étienne in Avignon and La Palme d’Or (Hôtel Martinez) in Cannes. She perfected her skills in Ferrandi, Paris, a prestigious internationally-recognized school of culinary arts, where she gained admirable culinary knowledge learning from the best.
She worked with distinguished chefs and mentors, like Benoît Nicolas, Eric Robert, Charles Fontes, Jean Louis Nomicos, Olivier Nasti and even some restaurant with 3 or 4 Gault&Millau toques and 2 to 3 Michelin stars. She showed her expertise in a popular TV show Top Chef where she went to the finals in 2016.
She set off on her own path the very same year with La Pergola restaurant in Marseille, but her long life goal was achieved last year, when she opened a small restaurant called Signature. Every table in her restaurant is booked, because chef Coline Faulquier prepares healthy Mediterranean food, that has more fans every day. Her dishes are creative and well-presented, and she uses mostly fish and high-quality vegetables.
