The magician of Crissier! Franck Giovannini is Swiss «Chef of the Year»

Is it possible to make an already world renowned restaurant even better? Franck Giovannini, the chef of «Hôtel de Ville» in Crissier VD, absolutely does! The GaultMillau Switzerland has honoured him with the title of «Chef of the Year 2018».

What a magical address! Four chefs have run the elegant restaurant by the lake of Geneva and all of them clinched the title of «Chef of the Year». Fredy Girardet, one of the best chefs in the world in his time, has brought forth the «The Miracle of Crissier» personally training all three of his successors: Philippe Rochat, Benôit Violier and Franck Giovannini were his pupils.

Fredy Girardet, aged 80 years old, personally came by to present the title to Giovannini, a very moving moment.
