Legendary chef Paul Bocuse died at 91
"Happiness is in the kitchen," said a great French chef Paul Bocuse. The creator of the nouvelle cuisine, the legendary father of French gastronomy, has made a real revolution on the international culinary scene, and the whole world is thanking him: "Merci Monsieur". The last wish of the great chef, who died at the age of 91, was to gather chefs, colleagues and friends at his funeral, in white, to pay homage to that unique, demanding profession which he made prestigious. "Bocuse d'or", the world's most famous culinary competition, is only a small part of his legacy, and his hometown of Lyon, he celebrated as a world capital of gastronomy. "Time stops when with friends" was the motto of this great gourmet, women and life lover.
Gault&Millau proclaimed him a lifelong "chef of the twentieth century", and Michelin awarded him with 3 stars in 1965.
