Mastercard and Gault&Millau introduce Payment Excellence Award
Mastercard will also reward restaurant and POP place that show the greatest excellence in offering payment options with funds!
The partner of the first Croatian edition of the Gaulit&Millau guide is Mastercard that initiated choosing the best restaurant in the additional category – given the offered payment options and the communication of those possibilities to guests. The top-rated restaurant in this category as well as the top-rated POP location will be awarded the Payment Excellence Award, with the aim of encouraging the introduction of electronic payments to restaurants in Croatia.
We are increasingly encouraged with media coverage suggesting that tourists traveling to Croatia are worried about the fact that many restaurants do not receive card payment. At the same time, when traveling to new countries, tourists will rather spend if the payment process is practical and safe. Evolution of the payment system thus causes the growth of spending on the destination, and the acceptance of electronic payments is one of the ways to increase opportunities for wider and inclusive growth.
