We are counting the last days of summer, autumn rains are slowly starting, but the beginning of September brings us a wide variety of flavors! We are still enjoying summer fruit and vegetables, such as figs, blackberries, apricots, nectarines, tomatoes, courgettes, corn, while autumn fruit and vegetables gradually begin to appear at the farmer's markets: plums, apples, pears, quinces, beetroot, celery, pumpkin...also, a variety of nuts. Seasonal products are at the peak of their natural season, perfectly ripe and of perfect taste!
By eating seasonally, our diet is more diverse and we are maximizing the health benefits of fruits and vegetables, which have a greater nutritional value than the products that have been stocked for a long time. This means that we live in harmony with nature and respect its rhythm. Buying seasonal products is easier on our wallets: we get the best quality at a good price.
