Ludovic Turac, chef of the restaurant Une Table au Sud, from Marseille, is preparing the Gault&Millau Croatia 2024 gala dinner, on the occasion of the release of the seventh Croatian edition of the prestigious world gastronomic guide.

The French chef who won the title of Great Chef of Tomorrow by Gault&Millau France 2024, and whose restaurant has 3 Gault&Millau toques and one Michelin star, will cook together with Ana Grgić-Tomić, the cheffe of Hotel Esplanade, in Zagreb, on Thursday April 18.

Chef Turac worked at Le Bristol and at Guy Savoy. His cuisine is based on Provençal vegetables, local fish and meat from the southern Alps. He designed two menus in several courses: the first, "From the sea to the land" (De la Mer à la Terre), is strongly marked by the cuisine of Marseille, while the second, "Crossroads of spices" (Carrefour des épices), is a reminiscence of his Mediterranean travels and his Armenian origin. In short, a tribute to the countries that influenced the cuisine of the city where he lives and works today. His inventive recipes never lack flavour or emotions, and he draws inspiration from the impressive view of the Old Port and the legendary statue of the "Bonne Mère", the Saint Virgin, in front of the Notre Dame de la Guarde Basilica, which dominates Marseille.

Chef Turac will present several fish dishes to the Zagreb audience, including his famous bouillabaisse with red mullet.
