Restaurant Foša Zadar and bistro Otto & Frank are the best in the category celebrating the excellence in offering payment options
The restaurant and the bistro have received the Payment Excellence Award which was initiated by Mastercard as the partner of the Gault&Millau guide
The first Croatian edition of Gault&Millau guide, apart from awarding culinary excellence, emphasizes the excellence in offering various payment options and communicating these possibilities to visitors. The Payment Excellence Award, along with funds, was introduced to address the media coverage suggesting that tourists traveling to Croatia are worried about the fact that many restaurants do not accept card payment.
Restaurant Foša has shown the highest level of excellence in offering different payment options, so guests can enjoy a fast, convenient and secure payment experience with their preferred card. Adapted to digital generation, this restaurant also offers the possibility of contactless payments, and offers benefits within a variety of loyalty programs throughout the year. Excellence has also been shown in communication of these opportunities to visitors – in the restaurant as well as on Restaurant Foša’s digital communication platforms. Given the offered payment options and the quality of communication of those possibilities to guests, Otto & Frank excelled in the POP category.
“Congratulations to Foša Restaurant and Otto & Frank who gave their contribution to the fulfilment of the goal that guests can pay everywhere in Croatia in the manner they prefer. When traveling to new countries, tourists will rather spend if the payment process is practical and safe. Evolution in the payment system thus causes the growth of spending at the destination, and the acceptance of electronic payments is one of the ways to increase opportunities for wider and inclusive growth”, said Sanja Žigić, Mastercard Croatia Country Manager. “Excellence in this segment has been demonstrated by numerous other restaurants that have entered the pre-selection for the Gault & Millau guide and we encourage them to continue with these efforts so we could jointly contribute to the development of tourism in Croatia.”
In addition to this new category, Mastercard has launched a project in which a part of the restaurants and POP locations from the guide offer benefits for paying with Mastercard® and Maestro® cards from 1 April till the end of the year.
