Gault&Millau's review 2026

Konoba Bodulo is located in the town of Pag, just outside the city walls, and is easy to find by walking through the old town. This traditional Dalmatian tavern is known for its wide range of meat and fish dishes, pastas, risottos, soups and desserts, and offers an authentic experience of Pag and the Adriatic cuisine. On the menu you will find cold fish platters with anchovies, tuna pâté, smoked sea bass fillet and marinated prawns, fish on saur (marinated with herbs and vinager), as well as Dalmatian prosciutto and the famous Pag cheese. The tavern is particularly famous for its fish dishes such as grilled fish or squid, cuttlefish with broad beans and buzara. Of course, there are also meat specialties on offer, and the must-try is the lamb on a padela (braised in a pan) with Pag herbs, exceptionally tender and juicy, served in its own sauce with potatoes and seasonal vegetables, and, in our opinion, the tastiest dish we have had here. Our favourite dessert is the cheesecake with caramelized figs and almonds, and those who like refreshing desserts can try the pomegranate sorbett. The wine list offers local and international varieties and a standard offer of other drinks. Here you will enjoy a pleasant atmosphere surrounded by vines and stone walls, and during the summer months it is recommended to reserve a table as it is very popular among tourists. The personnel are friendly and fast, and the prices are reasonable.
