Gault&Millau's review 2026

This simply decorated, even modest restaurant in one of the liveliest tourist areas of the city, the Tkalčićeva pedestrian street, offers the best Indian cuisine in the region. The quality of Bombay Grill is evidenced by the fact that the Indian embassy regularly orders their food for the official receptions and other events. Their chefs were also engaged on the occasion of the arrival of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Zagreb. Bombay Grill cherishes the rich gastronomic tradition of central India: these are dishes that are bursting with flavours, spices and colours, and each plate tells its own story. The menu is exceptionally sumptuous, and it includes classics such as lamb rogan josh, chicken tikka masala, various types of curries and other specialties prepared with great care. There is no need to be afraid of the famous Indian spiciness because it is adjusted to European palates - with the possibility of additional mitigation or intensification. If there is a larger group at the table, we recommend ordering several dishes and share them. This is the best way to enjoy the richness of Indian flavours and aromas, along with delicious warm naan bread and aromatic Biryani rice. The drink menu is simple, consisting of several types of wine and beer, including the famous Indian beer Kingfisher.
