A beautifully arranged estate styled after American Western ranches, a children’s playground, a mini adventure park in the forest, magnificent horses, and a large parking area - more than enough reasons to spend a day at Cowboy Western Ranch in the Vukomeričke gorice hills. Located just about twenty kilometers from Zagreb, it is a very popular venue for family celebrations as well as corporate team-building events. The interior is warm and welcoming, dominated by a large fireplace. Wood prevails throughout the space, and sparkling decorations shine all year round. The menu focuses mainly on meat dishes: steaks, ribs and burgers, tortillas and salads, a few soups, several desserts, and even options for vegetarian cowboys. If you would like to try a bit of everything, the best choice is the “BBQ for 2” - a meat platter for two. Served on a wooden board, it includes: a deboned chicken drumstick, pork tenderloin stuffed with cheese and sun-dried tomatoes and wrapped in pancetta, ribs with sauce, a burger, roasted potatoes - along with coleslaw and a corn salad. The standout dish is the stuffed tenderloin “Winchester 308,” and all the side dishes are very tasty as well. Homemade apple strudel is always a good dessert choice. The staff is quick and friendly, and food is served without long waiting times. The drink selection is standard, but a craft beer pairs particularly well with the barbecue.
