The warm and simply decorated dining room of Restaurant Fratellos, dominated by wood and brick, along with waiters wearing broad smiles, will immediately lift your mood. The menu offers a wide selection, making it difficult to choose between Neapolitan-style pizzas and house specialties such as ox cheeks or lamb shank. The choice of appetizers is varied, and vegetarians will especially appreciate the Istrian bruschetta with basil pesto, tomatoes, and Grana Padano, as well as Macedonian-style peppers in kajmak (cream). Although they offer several fish dishes, Fratellos is better known as a destination for meat lovers. There is no shortage of burgers, steaks, and grilled meats on the menu: Monster, Smokey, Chicken, and even a tuna burger. On the waiter’s recommendation, we choose dishes from the specialty list called “Law of the Brothers,” clearly an allusion to the restaurant’s owners, the Ramadani brothers. We opt for slow-roasted duck breast with potato cream, baby carrots, and corn, as well as a Zagreb-style schnitzel – chicken filet stuffed with mozzarella and ham, served with homemade potatoes. The dishes arrive quickly, nicely presented, and very tasty. Judging by the number of guests on a Monday - not a popular day for dining out - Fratellos is a favorite gastronomic destination in the center of Ivanić, thanks to its good service and fair prices.
