Chef's Restaurant
The elegant restaurant, whose guests included numerous diplomats, statesmen, actors, musicians, including Emmanuel Macron, Richard Gere, Nick Cave, Beyoncé, was taken over a year ago by Iva and Renato Tomlinović. From their restaurant Zori, in Palmižana, they brought the same business philosophy to Zagreb, based on daily fresh fish from the Adriatic, handmade pasta and meat dishes signed by chef Siniša Jevrosimov. We especially enjoyed the black fuži with freshly grated truffles and the creamy, silky trumpet and chanterelle soup without a splash of cream. Pappardelle with steak, rooster with mlinci, grilled octopus with sweet potato puree with orange are just some of the dishes on offer that will be recommended by friendly waiters. Among the dozen desserts are apple pie with ice cream and rožata made in the Dubrovnik way. The kitchen is open, so every guest can see what is happening in it. The wine list is made up of well-known labels from Croatia, Slovenia, Spain, Italy, France and Argentina. A pleasant and peaceful ambience, an interior full of little things that give warmth and a spacious terrace surrounded by plants and flowers in the heart of Zagreb will equally delight business people and families who want to mark important festivities and celebrations in such an ambience, as well as couples and groups of friends. A special attraction is the Diplomatic Room - a private salon with a separate entrance from the secret garden, fully equipped with technicalities for smaller conferences and meetings whose conversations must remain within its walls. In Gallo, you can arrange a special or tasting menu of your choice, and the prices are appropriate for this type of restaurant.
