A modest restaurant in a decidedly immodest neighbourhood, close to the exclusive Pucić Palace hotel, offers a simple gastronomic concept that has remained unchanged for decades. As its name suggests, Kamenice specialises are famous oysters from the Mali Ston Bay, served fresh on crushed ice with a slice of lemon. Each day the menu features around fifteen dishes: cheese and prosciutto, black risotto, small fried fish, octopus salad, mussels buzara, fried or grilled squid, omelettes and pasta with prawns. Dessert is always the same – the traditional Dubrovnik rožata. Portions are generous, the fish exceptionally fresh and the prices surprisingly affordable considering the location. For that reason the restaurant is almost always full, and during the summer guests often queue for a table. The wine offer is simple, but a glass of the house red wine pairs perfectly with the meal.
