Gault&Millau's review 2026

The restaurant run by the Jurić family for four decades is a must-visit for anyone who loves Posavina freshwater fish specialties and happens to be near Lonjsko polje Nature Park. Simply decorated, it is known not only for its tasty homemade food but also for its exceptionally friendly staff. They offer dishes made from pike-perch, catfish, pike, and carp – prepared in various ways. For example, fish stew cooked in a cauldron, carp roasted on skewers over an open fire, or fried carp served with sautéed potatoes. The grilled pike-perch is excellent, with a crispy caramelized edge and a firm, juicy meat. Pike-perch fillet is served with creamy vegetable risotto, and they also prepare fish-filled pancakes. Dishes like tačkrle and homemade trganci with bacon and sour cream (traditional pasta of the region) are well known, as is the Jasenovac-style schnitzel – a pork cutlet topped with a fried egg and served with potatoes in cream sauce. Among the appetizers, it is worth trying their cold platter featuring cured meats sourced from local producers. They also offer spit-roasted dishes, which need to be pre ordered. The restaurant is open every day, including public holidays, but not on Monday.
