Gault&Millau's review 2026

Kogo is said to be one of the restaurants with the longest tradition on Hvar, founded in 1983 – at that time, admittedly, only as a pizzeria, which over time expanded its offering. Even today, they are best known for their pizzas, the preparation of which shows the influence of neighbouring Italy – with mozzarella, bresaola, parmigiano reggiano, Italian mortadella, fresh burrata... But they also offer various salads, pasta and risotto, meat, as well as grilled fish - and at prices that are lower than the other astronomically expensive Hvar restaurants. The selection of desserts is not large, but it is proven - tiramisù, cheesecake and the popular lava cake. The wine list includes local varieties such as Plavac, but also some popular foreign wines, while the selection of cocktails is quite rich.
