Located not far from Umag, at first glance Konoba Buščina looks like a classic, familiar Istrian tavern, but it quickly becomes clear that this is a place that goes a step further. The rustic interior, the warm atmosphere and the carefully designed details create a special atmosphere. The staff are extremely friendly, spontaneous and professional, which further enhances the whole experience. The quality and presentation of the dishes here are at a high level. You can try the cold appetizers, namely cold cuts, cheeses and fish, and various hot appetizers and soups. As a main course you can have fish or meat specialties. There are also two 4-course tasting menus, Sea and Earth. We decided on a meat combination, so after a plate of Istrian prosciutto, pancetta, sausages and cheese, we ordered a steak. Extremely juicy perfectly seasoned and served with crispy potatoes and truffles that gave the meat a sublime taste. Finally, a pistachio soufflé with ice cream: a light, delicious and perfect ending to an unforgettable lunch. Konoba Buščina is a unique place that carefully combines tradition and sophistication. The wine list is very good. Book your table in advance.
