Fiume is a tavern in the heart of Rijeka, right next to the fish market, which tells a lot about their offer. In addition to a few regular dishes, the menu consists of fresh catch of the day. So you take a look at the black board at the entrance of the tavern to discover the daily offer. Fiume is cheap, especially when you consider the freshness of the fish they cook and that is the reason why it is almost always full. On sunny days it is impossible to get a table on the terrace. The staff is dynamic and extremely nice, and the tables pleasantly arranged. Don’t miss the days when small blue fish, sardines and anchovies are available, served with a chard, potatoes and a glass of wine. So simple, but so good! Their grilled sea bream and stingray fish are more than tasteful, while famous Kvarner scampi are a special delicacy. When you get tired of walking through the busy market, be sure to stop at Fiume tavern and refresh yourself with good food and good energy. Notice that they are closed on Sundays.
