Konoba Jure in Rovinj is an ideal choice for anyone who appreciates simple, but really good food, without complicated culinary techniques. It is located a little further from the city centre, but this is a place that locals and tourists enjoy visiting. The ambiance is rustic, filled with details characteristic of Istrian taverns, and guests can choose between a terrace bathed in the scents of the Mediterranean herbs or a warm interior. The menu adapts to the season and the available ingredients, but the focus is always on Istrian and Mediterranean cuisine. It also changes daily, and it is not uncommon for dishes on offer to run out at one point in the day. It is therefore best to consult the waiter and listen to his recommendation. The grilled fish and the scampi were truly well prepared, which is to be expected when the ingredients are of top quality. The classic side dish is Swiss chard and potatoes. Meat lovers will also find something for themselves, and if it is on offer, try the chicken žgvacet (a chicken ragout), served with homemade pasta. The presentation of the dish is simple. The wine list is not extensive, but it is correct, while the offer of other drinks is quite satisfactory. It is recommended to reserve a table. Konoba Jure gives the impression of a place that values tradition as well as good, honest cuisine.
