The bistro, located near the Central Station, has been nurturing the concept of daily fresh dishes for years with several home classics that have gained a loyal audience. Because of this, as well as because of the relaxed atmosphere and consistent quality, Lari & Penati is one of those restaurants that guests always come back to. Among the appetizers, goose liver pâté, cod pâté and excellent steak tartare, which comes in such a generous portion that it is enough to share, stand out. The daily offer follows the offer from the market, so in season you can taste tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, chanterelles, sun-dried tomatoes and broccoli, spinach, blue cheese and nut quiche, chicken breast with roasted vegetables and goat cheese mousse. Of the home classics, we especially recommend roasted pork ribs, soft, juicy and excellently marinated, with potatoes and coleslaw salad. The offer is rounded off by two desserts, one chocolate and one seasonal, while a smaller, carefully selected wine list, sparkling wines and craft beers follow the philosophy of the house. Fast, cordial and unobtrusive service and the always present, but discreet owner, who respects good food, wine and his guests, further confirm the fact that Lari & penati is one of the most popular Zagreb neighborhood bistros.
