Gault&Millau's review 2026

The summer terrace of the Mala Mora restaurant on the waterfront in Kaštel Lukšić with a view of the island of Čiovo is ideal for romantic souls who love beautiful sunsets. In the distance, you can even see the Trogir Cathedral of St. Lawrence. The interior is modern and elegant. The personnel are very pleasant, polite, and pay a lot of attention to the guest and his wishes. The menu is imaginative, and with the help of the waiters, you can easily decide on a dish that suits your taste. Mala Mora is a restaurant for lovers of traditional fish dishes, although they like to play with the preparation of more modern soups and appetizers. They also offer a daily two-course menu at more affordable prices until 5 p.m. We started our early dinner with the fish soup with homemade semolina dumplings. A traditional Dalmatian dish rich in flavours with pieces of boiled fish and soft dumplings was really good. The tuna on a celery purée, as recommended by the waiter, was a hit. It was refreshed by small cubes of beetroot. Their desserts are worth every recommendation. After tasting their strudel, which is crispy and not too sweet, you won’t leave the restaurant hungry or unhappy. The wines from local winemakers, which they boast about, are a very important feature of this Kaštela restaurant. It’s a shame that it works only in the summer season.
