Gault&Millau's review 2026

Named after scientist Andrija Mohorovičić, whose birthplace is nearby, Pizzeria Moho offers its own interpretation of a globally popular dish. Alongside classic Italian-based pizzas, their menu is inspired by the Kvarner region and local ingredients. One pizza features Kvarner scampi and arugula, another prosciutto, figs, and cheese, and another Istrian truffles and mushrooms -around twenty varieties in total. A house specialty is the “Vološćanske rolice” a reinterpretation of pizza in the form of rolled dough filled with cheese, prosciutto, and vegetables. As a contrast to pizza, they offer the Mo-ho-ho burger, a gourmet version of an American fast-food classic. The menu also includes fish dishes such as Trio Mare (a cold appetizer with smoked tuna, marinated prawns, and salted anchovies), served with warm flatbread. From pasta dishes, tagliatelle with prawns, cherry tomatoes, and arugula is recommended. For dessert, options include panna cotta, tiramisu, cheesecake, or seasonal fruit cake. The main restaurant space is a seaside terrace overlooking the Volosko harbor and boats, while the interior is smaller and simply decorated. They offer a good selection of beers (industrial and craft), local wines, and homemade brandies.
