Plac Kitchen & Grill is located on the first floor terrace of Zagreb’s Dolac market and is almost always full. It is visited by both local guests and tourists who enjoy their grilled specialties. The interior is miniature, but the open terrace with tables is protected by transparent walls and is heated in winter. Owner Josip Matijević is in the restaurant every day and warmly welcomes guests and often serves them food. Pljeskavice, ćevapčići, hamburgers, marinated chicken drumstick and pork shoulder attract meat lovers, as does their famous plac salad with cabbage, carrots, radicchio, fennel and fried pumpkin and sunflower seeds. You can get the salad with meatballs, and one of the most sought -after side dishes is crispy baked potatoes, golden yellow in color, seasoned with fine herbs. Delicious ćevapčici (small or large portions of 6 or 10 pieces) are served in a warm bun, with onions, and optionally with kajmak and ajvar. The large hamburgers are also excellent, one of which, with seitan, is intended for vegetarians. The secret is in the high -quality ingredients, namely exclusively local beef and veal, as well as chicken and turkey, which are expertly grilled on the grill in the small kitchen. Baklava is the only dessert on the menu. You can get several types of beer with your meal, and it also offers a dozen wine labels and good house wine. The price-quality ratio is an additional reason to visit Plac Kitchen & Grill that has also a delivery service. We highly recommend it.
