The Family restaurant, located in the heart of Varaždin and spread over three floors, was launched by Croatian national football team coach Zlatko Dalić as a place that combines gastronomy with the spirit of sports camaraderie. The concept of The Family is built around the idea of bringing together guests, friends, and family. The restaurant is designed as a second living room for residents of Varaždin who wants to enjoy a coffee, breakfast, lunch, a business meal, dinner, or a gathering with family and friends. Of course, tourists are also welcome. The menu features dishes that combine traditional flavours with modern culinary techniques, emphasizing homemade and local ingredients from across Croatia. Options include soups, risottos, and pastas, as well as several types of pizza – one is named “Srce vatreno” (Fiery Heart). Among the meat dishes, the “Dry Age” duck breast stands out as a premium choice for sophisticated meat lovers. Since the restaurant is filled with football jerseys and other fan memorabilia that appeal to children, part of the menu is also adapted for younger guests. The Family is housed in a historic building, covering 600 m² and offering around 150 seats.
