Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
The boutique winery in the fertile Erdut wine region was taken over by the Dugalić family two years ago. It produces annually 20.000 bottles of top-quality wines and most of them are white wines - Graševina, Sauvignon Blanc, Traminer and Muscat Yellow. The rest are red varieties - Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Zweigelt and a wine from the indigenous variety Kadarka. During the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Kadarka was the drink of the gentlemen and the nobles, and it even found its way to the Vatican and the Pope. It has also become part of the musical culture: loved by Franz Listz, who composed the Szekszárd Mass in honour of the region and sent this wine to Pope Pius IX every year. Although they have only been involved in winemaking for two years, Ivana and Krunoslav have already won gold and silver for their wines at the Mundus Vini competition and silver and bronze at Decanter. In the pleasant rustic ambience of the tasting room, dominated by wood, you can also taste local dishes from the region. The two nature lovers are proud of their orchard in Petrijevci, where they grow pears, plums, apples and quinces, combining the love of fruit growing, brandies and wine tourism. For them the winery and the distillery are the dream that came true, their retirement project.
