Winery presentation by Gault&Millau

The winery on the Plemićka Ruta (The Noblemen Route), which passes through beautiful nature and close to magnificent castles, is known for its top-quality wines. These wines, together with the local atmosphere and the gastronomic offer, pervade their tasting room. The winery was created out of a love for wine, a desire to create new values and the togetherness of two families. It was founded two decades ago by the veterinarian Damir Kaša and the agronomist Neven Kovač, who planted the first Graševina grapes. Their vineyards are located in the heart of the Virovitica vineyards and extend over six hectares of sandy soil in Vukosavljevica. They produce quality and premium wines with a controlled geographical origin from grapes from the slopes of Bilogora. In addition to Graševina, awarded by Decanter, the others varieties are Blue Frankish, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Rhine Riesling and Yellow Muscat. They are proud of their first sparkling wine made from Chardonnay, produced with the classical method in limited quantities. This is the first sparkling wine in the Virovitica-Podravina region. Their vision is to strengthen the tourism through the wine and food offer that has made this area famous since ever.
