The largest local producer on the island of Krk brings together 125 members cultivating around 80 hectares of vineyards in the Vrbničko polje (Vrbnik field) and surrounding areas. Founded in 1904, with a wine cellar built in 1933, today it has a capacity of 1.2 million litres. The annual production ranges between 600,000 and 700,000 litres of wine, with as much as 99% being Žlahtina. Their most famous wine is the fresh and light Zlatna Vrbnička Žlahtina, alongside Žlahtina Grand Cru/Reserve, aged in oak barrels for a more complex aroma. They also produce the dessert wine Zlatna Selekcija (Gold Selection), the sparkling wines Valomet - unique for aging under the sea - as well as the red wine Namori and the rosé Sv. Mendalina.
