Winery presentation by Gault&Millau

The story of the Pinkert family winery began in the early 20th century, with the planting of a few vines and the creation of a small family cellar on the slopes of Bansko Brdo near Suza. With dedication and expertise, the legacy was continued by Zoltan Pinkert, whose vineyards became known for their meticulous care. Over time, he expanded the estate to 15 hectares, cultivating Graševina, Sauvignon Blanc, Yellow Muscat, Frankovka, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and more, producing around 50,000 liters annually. His daughter Kristina contributed her own enological knowledge and helped shape the winery’s visual identity, recognizable by the tulip symbol - a flower reminiscent of a wine glass. Each label featured a tulip in a color corresponding to the grape variety. Although the winery seemed poised for further growth, including the construction of a tasting room and a restaurant above the cellar, Zoltan Pinkert ultimately decided to sell. Since 2023, the winery has been owned by Hungarian entrepreneur László Lang, who continues its rich tradition while preserving its name.
