Danubio is a family winery that relies on a tradition that is more than a hundred years old, while since 2014 it has been developing a new, rounded story of the oeno-tourism concept at three Danube locations – in Šarengrad, Aljmaš and Erdut. The combination of heritage and a modern approach is visible in every segment of their work. The grapes come from the location in Erdut and from the slopes of Fruška Gora near Ilok. The key varieties are Graševina, Traminer, Rhine Riesling, Blue Frankish and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery fosters an ecological approach to production and produces around 60 thousand litres of wine annually. Each location offers a different experience. In Aljmaš, at the place where the Drava flows into the Danube, there is a modern residence, designed as a wine retreat. The tasting room in Erdut is located in a peaceful, green environment and provides ideal conditions for focused tastings. The largest tasting room is in Šarengrad, in the heart of the Srijem vineyards. White wines are fresh, fruity and harmonious, with pronounced aromatics, while red wines are structured, full-bodied and with a pronounced character. The elegant Graševina and the Rosé, the aromatic Traminer, the Rhine Riesling, and the Blue Frankish are particularly noteworthy. The local products along with the traditional, authentic, rustic cuisine of the Danube region naturally accompany the character of the top-quality wines.
