Jam factory In the village of Kali above Medveja Bay, there is a unique culinary workshop where the Bistre - Vidović family revives traditional, authentic flavours and creates products from figs, the famous Lovran chestnuts (maruni), cherries, sour cherries, and other fruits, as well as various aromatic herbs. Chestnut cream, orange marmalade, and fig cake are just some of Kali’s sweet products that delight both international and domestic guests. A particularly well-developed product line is based on figs, featuring a rich jam with rosemary and sage aromas, as well as balsamic vinegar aged for years in wooden barrels, which won the Zlatna košarica (Golden Basket) award for the best Croatian product in 2022.
