Delicatessen At the entrance to Beli Manastir, the House of Baranja Kulen preserves and promotes one of the region’s most iconic specialties. Established in 2021 through a joint initiative by local authorities and producers, it serves as both a production hub and an educational center. Its goal is to provide producers of this cured delicacy, as well as farms involved in paprika production and processing (essential for kulen), with all necessary information and advice to improve their business. Additionally, it offers a safe production environment, as many factors influence quality in home production. The House of Baranja Kulen consists of two buildings. One houses five small, state-of-the-art production facilities, each with an annual capacity of 2.5 tons, leased for five years to five kulen producers. The other, a 300-square-meter building, contains an exhibition space presenting the history of kulen and life in Baranja. Visitors can also enjoy guided tastings of this prized delicacy, often paired with regional dishes and wines.
