Oil mill BEMBO ISTARSKA BJELICA is a mono-varietal extra virgin olive oil of an indigenous Istrian variety. The oil is green-gold in colour, exceptionally fruity, and has a balanced bitterness and high-intensity spiciness, which is the main characteristic of this variety. The aroma is dominated by green olive leaves and notes of mown green grass, and the taste is mint and artichoke. Bembo Istarska Bjelica goes excellently with mature cheeses, seafood risotto, and vanilla ice cream. The Lupić family cultivates 30 hectares of land in the Bale area with about 5,400 olive trees. In addition to this oil, they also produce extra virgin oils from the Buža, Rožinjola, Puntoža, Negrolina, Leccino, and cuvée varieties, or blends of different olive varieties. You can taste and buy Bembo extra virgin olive oils, Somnis wines, and other valuable products of the Lupić family in their beautiful tasting room in the very heart of the historic centre of the picturesque village of Bale.
