Cheese dairy Marija Ribičić moved to Grabarje when she got married at the age of 19. Although very young, she quickly adapted to the hardworking family, and over time developed her own cheese production. Ten years ago, she was named the most exemplary rural woman in Croatia, and in 2023 the Ribičić family farm (founded 15 years ago) received the “Sunflower of Rural Tourism” award. The main activity of the family farm is agriculture, including the production of feed for their livestock: around thirty pigs and 15 dairy cows. Part of the milk is sold to a big company, while the rest is processed on-site. In their mini dairy, they produce up to 150 cheeses per month, according to the recipes developed by Marija. Their offer includes six types of cow’s milk cheese with chives, pumpkin seeds, ground hot paprika, as well as smoked, Grabarje-style, and fresh cheese. Selling them at markets, they also have excellent cooperation with winemakers from Kutjevo, who purchase them for wine tastings. Their own tasting room accommodates 50 people, and visitors touring Kutjevo wineries by bus often stop in Grabarje, located on the road between Kutjevo and Pleternica.
