Gault&Millau presents

Oil mill NEGRI multi-varietal extra virgin olive oil is made from indigenous Istrian varieties, Buža, Istrian Bjelica and Italian varieties Leccino and Pendolino. The oil has a golden green colour, with a very intense fruity aroma of green olives and freshly cut grass. The taste is dominated by green almonds, pine nuts and floral notes interwoven with an exceptionally pleasant bitterness and spiciness. Negri oil goes well with swordfish and greater amberjack carpaccio, salted anchovies and almond and pear tart. Negri Olive cultivates over 7,000 olive trees in the Labin area. The Negri brand has grown successfully over thirty years, but behind the name there is the continuity of a family that has been involved in olive growing for 550 years. This is engraved into the historical coat of arms of the Negri family. In addition to olive oils, the Negri family produces wines and liqueurs. You can try their products and those of other local producers in the Gastro-Art Gallery, which is located in the "Negri palace”.
