Delicatessen “At Sin ravnice (Son of the Plains), the happiest pigs live,” goes the farm’s motto. Majority-owned by former Croatian international footballer Domagoj Vida, the farm was launched eight years ago with three childhood friends. Today, they raise around 1,400 pigs, including a hundred head of indigenous breeds, and are the largest supplier of black Slavonian pig meat in the region. They also cultivate 140 hectares of land for their own feed. Except during colder months, the pigs roam freely across pastures, feeding on natural fodder produced on-site. Rather than conventional pigsties, they are housed in oak structures built to the highest ecological standards. The animals rest on straw bedding and enjoy meticulously maintained conditions. The farm primarily supplies top restaurants such as Josić in Zmajevac, Crna svinja in Čepin, and Lulu Fusion Bistro in Osijek, while around 15 % of production is processed into premium cured meats. Though they have no plans to expand, innovation remains central - their in-house labs are constantly developing new ideas.
