The Hajduković family from Tenja, near Osijek, demonstrates how dedication and expertise can transform a small farm into a thriving business. Owner Damir Hajduković worked in the food industry for about twenty years, while his wife Ivana is an expert in marketing, sales, and branding. When they launched their family farm in 2013 as a side business (later rebranding it as Tak’ Slatko), they did not feel like beginners. After initially producing jams, dried plums, and apple chips, they continued cultivating 600 hazelnut trees, 1,100 plum trees, and about thirty walnut trees on three hectares of inherited land in Potnjani. Specializing in hazelnuts, they produce NutTINO and NutTEA spreads (named after their children Tino and Tea), caramelized hazelnuts, roasted hazelnuts with chili or Mediterranean herbs as well as liqueurs, alongside other fruit-based products.
