Leonor Espinosa: The World’s Best Female Chef is the key speaker at the conference Redefining Success, and the host of an exclusive dinner with top Croatian female chefs

The World’s Best Female Chef 2022 according to 50 Best World's Restaurants, arrives in Croatia upon an invitation of Mediterranean Women Chefs initiative. Leonor Espinosa is the owner and chef of the restaurant Leo in Bogota, Colombia, and founder of FunLeo foundation, a strong supporter of traditional Colombian cuisine and its environmental richness. “Gastronomy is a driver of economic and social development. Cooking is a transformative tool" - says Leonor Espinosa who has been at the forefront of gastronomic innovation for 15 years. ”At her restaurant Leo in Bogotá, she has forged a unique, cerebral and profound cooking style that sets her apart from her contemporaries, at the same time as she seeks to use gastronomy as a tool of socio-economic development” - wrote 50 Best.

Together with the other participants at the conference Espinosa will discuss the subject - how female professionals in top positions can change the society. On the other hand for the dinner, in the kitchen with top Croatian female chefs, Leonor Espinosa will explore Croatian gastronomy. Welcome cocktails will be prepared by Laura Hernandez Espinosa, sommelier at restaurant Leo and executive director of FunLeo foundation. The dinner will be prepared by a female chefs team from Croatia: Ana Grgić Tomić, head chef of the Hotel Esplanade, Chef of the Year Gault&Millau Croatia 2022, Michelin Green Star, Vesna Miletić, chef of the restaurant Tač - Zagreb, GM Croatia Trophy Chef of the traditional cuisine 2019, Michelin Bib Gourmand, Sandra Tahirović, chef of Zora bila restaurant - Split, Great Chef of Tomorrow Gault&Millau Croatia 2020, 3 toques, Gabriela Filca, sous chef of the restaurant Nebo - Hotel Hilton Costabella- Rijeka, 3 toques Gault&Millau Croatia, 1 Michelin * and Mirjana Špoljar, pastry chef of Hotel Esplanade and her team.
The purpose of the fundraising dinner is to support a young Croatian culinary talent, student or apprentice, to get an internship in a famous world’s restaurant.
