Chef's Restaurant
Located in a quiet street at the foot of the Dolac market, in the very center of the city, this restaurant is an example of Zagreb's contemporary bistronomic scene. It provides a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere - both in the minimalist interior and on the terrace, which is sheltered by greenery during the warmer months. The service is professional, well-organized and unobtrusive. The staff safely guides guests through the menu and wine list and communicates equally competently with domestic and foreign visitors. The proximity of the market strongly shapes the identity of the cuisine, which relies on seasonal ingredients and regularly refreshes the offer. Thus, among the spring-summer favorites, young pea and wild garlic soup stand out, and zucchini blossoms stuffed with goat cheese. The à la carte menu includes dishes such as beef tartare with smoked bone marrow, kimchi and quail egg, slow-cooked beef cheeks with dumplings stuffed with cream, and slow-cooked lamb with parmesan gnocchi, pumpkin seed pesto and parmesan mousse. The offer of desserts is not large, but it is well thought out. They are known for their modern interpretation of šnenokli, and there is always a seasonal, carefully designed and executed dessert. A special value is given to the restaurant by the rich wine list, and in cooperation with several renowned Croatian winemakers, a line of wines Pod zidom has been created - sparkling wines and white and red cuvées available by the glass and bottle at fair prices.
