Gault&Millau's review 2026

Differences attract, and similarities unite. This principle is expressed in a small bar in Diocletian’s Palace, which offers the best of Japan and Dalmatia: high-quality Mediterranean ingredients, whose taste and nutritional value are preserved thanks to the simple preparation method characteristic of the Japanese cuisine. The menu of Adriatic Sushi & Oyster Bar begins with Japanese dishes such as sashimi, futomaki, uramaki, nigiri and hosomaki, and for an appetizer we recommend their new sushi rolls (Dynamite, Red gem and Sweet tuna roll). This series continues with Mediterranean cuisine, whose main stars come from the sea – sea bass, tuna and octopus in modern flavour combinations. Their risotto and pasta are interesting, for example fettuccine with lime, but also imaginative salads such as caprese with buffalo mozzarella, yellow peaches and aromatic herbs. The modern concept of this restaurant attracts a diverse audience, mostly younger, so it is difficult to find a seat on summer evenings.
