A unique location, juicy beef steaks and good service are the strengths of the restaurant Aerosteak, situated right next to the Grobnik Circuit (the motorsport race track near Rijeka). Another advantage is the pleasant terrace surrounded by greenery, overlooking an airstrip about twenty meters away, where small sport planes take off and land. The terrace is not very large, so there aren’t many tables, but the guests have also access to two rustic-style indoor dining rooms. In addition to a rich selection of meat dishes, the menu features pizzas, salads, pasta and risottos. As a starter, we recommend trying the tender, mildly spicy steak tartare, served with butter and warm bread rolls, or – if you prefer something lighter – the traditional Kvarner polenta kompirica and the Grobnik cheese. The aged, juicy beef steaks, named after aircraft models, have been the restaurant’s trademark for years. They are served with various side dishes according to the guest’s preference. For example, the KC-10 beefsteak is served with horseradish and apple sauce alongside croquettes, while the F-111A comes with truffle sauce and traditional šurlice pasta. Other meat dishes are also available, such as veal medallions wrapped in pancetta or mixed grilled meat platters. For a meatless option, we recommend the zucchini and shrimp risotto or the truffle šurlice, while for dessert – the mascarpone cream with forest berries. The wine list is not extensive, but it offers quality wines from Croatian regions. The portions are generous, the price-quality ratio is fair, and it is recommended to reserve a table.
